1303 6th Street

Built ca. 1889. This is a very unusual house for two reasons. First, its life began in Arcata but was floated across the bay and moved to this site in 1895. Secondly, its second story is missing due to a fire in 1935 and is now altered. The facade of the house draws from several styles mainly due to additions; the round-headed windows are Italianate while most of the numerous supports and brackets are Eastlake, and the corner tower is Queen Anne.
