This home is one of the few Northern California examples of the work of Los Angeles architects Arther and Alfred Hieneman. Built in 1912, the Larry Puter House, as it’s known, is in the Craftsman style popularized by Pasadena architects Greene and Greene. The low, irregularly shaped masses with horizontal emphasis are typical of the style, as are the low pitched roofs, extended eaves, exposed rafters and purlins, shingle siding, and band windows that define this significant house.
This structure has statewide historic significance.
