The Mackinnon House was built in 1884 and is a one-and-a-half-story Greek Revival house with delicate Italianate detailing. The blank frieze, ranking cornice, and corner boards are characteristic of the Greek Revival style, while the intricate jigsaw panels above the segmentally arched two-over-two double-hung sash windows and bracketed hood moldings are characteristic of the Italianate style. The small-scale porch with thin columns and scroll brackets leads to the recessed entrance. A one-story kitchen wing with full porch extends from the rear of the building. (Green Book)
