1440 A Street

Built 1906 by Conroy, Eroberg and Company. The E.E. Fraser House looks both backward and forwards as it combines elements of the ongoing Queen Anne style and the incoming Colonial Revival style. Particularly notable are the conical eave projections on the gable ends and the large conical dome at the corner of the classically columned porch. Vestiges of a Queen Anne slanted bay are evident, although considerably flattened in profile. Credit: The Green Book
