1207 F Street

Built in 1892 by architect T.J. Frost and built by Ira Thompson. The home is of statewide significance. Judge George W. Hunter has this elaborate Queen Ann/Eastlake house constructed for himself and his family. Its various gable projections, porch, and square-corner tower (now partially missing) are intricately ornamented. Turned and applied motifs, carved panels, sunbursts, stained glass, and brackets appear in abundance. An unusual recessed second-story porch is delineated by a spindle frieze containing a sunburst pattern.
