Composed of a curious combination of elements, the Gurnell House is difficult to describe stylistically. The Doric columns and the pedimented gable end over the porch are classical Revival inspirations, but the steeply pitched side gables and the conical roof projection, while inspired by the Queen Anne style, are rare if not unique in Eureka.
