1892 Queen Anne style cottage constructed with 944 F St. twin by Annie B. Ryan for $1000 each.
Owned by CalTrans as part of the Hwy.101 bypass through Eureka (project abandoned), the house was abandoned for 23 years. At this writing, it has been 30 years now.
Since August 2006, and currently (February 2014) College of the Redwoods Historic Preservation and Restoration Technology program has trained over 600 students, who have spent over 27,000 hours of learning and rehabilitation to fix, repair and accurately conserve this quaint cottage.
