2635 H street

Built in 1904, this two-story shingled Dutch Colonial Revival style home features a gambrel roof. Although the style is typically associated with barns, it also provides more space on the upper levels of homes. A gabled porch with detailing adorns the side and serves as the entrance. Notably, the house is nearly identical to three other houses on H street; 2603, 2607, and 2615 H.The home was built by O. B. Ackerman and originally owned by H. Mercer.
