This one-and-a-half-story Eastlake cottage with hints of Queen Anne has large curved front window with stained glass sections to the top and sides. The front elevation is covered in fish scale shingles and is a good representative of a transitional treatment of massing, wherein the slanted bay and porch are contained within the main body of the houe. Of particular interest are the paneled porch, the sawn board at the base of the porch columns, the arched window with stained glass, the sunburst pattern in the pediment, and the classical window treatment. It also has extensive use of dentils are part of the Queen Anne’s features. Built in 1896 and was owned by A. McLaren. (Green Book and Guide)
