Built circa 1885, like many Eureka residences of the period, this one-story house has a recessed entrance flanked by prominent bay projections. The modified Stick/Eastlake bays are notable for the large pedimented gables that tie them to the roof. These features are decorated with fish scale shingles and button ornaments. Equally interesting is the continuous sawn scroll panel at the entrance.( Guide and Green Book)
