Built in 1888 and occupying a corner lot, the Hitchings House is a fine example of the Stick/Eastlake style. Modestly decorated two-story square bays appear on each main elevation and are notable for the flared cornice projections between the first and second floors. Shiplap is the wall covering on the lower floor, while fish scale shingles appear on the upper elevations. The frieze is plain with large brackets. A simple Eastlake porch covers the entrance.
