1302-04 G Street

Built 1870. This one-and-a-half story vernacular classical house is important for its exterior integrity and unusual plan. The steeply pitched intersecting gables, shiplap siding, boxed cornice, and four-over-four double-hung sash windows are all original. Alterations include the center dormer window and the bracketed hood molding over the side entry. This structure appears to be made of two units similar to 1228 Third Street.
