This two-story Colonial Revival house has segmented windows, pillared porch, and curved opening on the second floor porch. Built by Dr. and Mrs. Reuben Gross in 1902, it was the former home of Helen Wells Barnum and was donated to Humboldt County Historical Society in 1993 upon her death. The house is now the headquarters for the society and houses a multitude of local historical documents.
