1822 I Street

Originally built in 1889 and owned by one C. Jewett, this is a one-and-a-half-story frame vernacular Greek Revival house that features a delicately detailed portico (entrance porch area). The upper half clearly represents this Greek Revival theme with its steep gables and return cornice. The columns supporting the structure for the portico are as mentioned before detailed that lends itself to Greek impressions.
This structure unfortunately burned down in late 2016.
